Immunet Protect is now in Beta!

One year has 8760 hours in it and in last year the team at Immunet burned through most of those to build a new entrant into the Anti-Virus space. We labored hard to build a product which gives you enhanced protection (hopefully greatly enhanced) yet does not turn your computer into a slug. We have moved away from making your computer a workhorse which does all the heavy lifting of finding viruses and have moved most of the heavy computing into the cloud. This allows us to offer up a fast, light weight AV product that can be run alongside your favorite Anti-Virus vendors (Norton, AVG & Mcafee for now) to dramatically boost your protection. Of course if you wish you can run it on it's own as well.

We built Immunet Protect around a different way of looking at solving the malware threat problem. Rather than creating software that lives on your system and works diligently away in relative isolation (except when it is busily chugging down your latest definition set) our software operates through community. By community we mean that we leverage the computers of your friends, family and a worldwide global community to harness their collective security. Every time someone in this collective community encounters a threat everyone else in the community gains protection from that same threat in real time. We call this approach Collective Immunity and we believe we can help better secure you (and the your community) with it. You no longer have to rely on the isolated security of your current AntiVirus vendor. You will be able to protect your friends and family while being better protected yourself.

What you see with our beta is a gradual release. Over time (both in and out of the beta) we will be loading up functionality to build on our Community approach as well as simply adding user feedback and new features.
